Our presenters are Doug Grimm and Hillary Stemple from Arent Fox, LLP. With respect to the compliance portion of the presentation, the presentation will include a discussion of: (1) relevant laws that govern the requirements for health care providers; (2) the guardrails for complying with those laws and requirements, focusing on the OIG’s publication titled:Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program; (3) how providers can structure and implement their compliance program for maximum effectiveness; and (4) the risks providers face when they lack robust compliance programs, including examples of settlements providers have entered into with the Department of Justice, as well as some of our own “war stories.” 

 With respect to the ACA “module” the presentation would include a discussion of: (1) what has been repealed (i.e., the individual mandate); (2) what remains; (3) other regulatory action that has been taken by the Administration to affect the insurance marketplace; and (4) what impact we expect these changes to have on rates, premiums, etc.
