NCHE Cohort 4 Mentorship Midpoint Review
We are thrilled to share the midpoint results for the NCHE Cohort 4 Mentorship Program. This cohort has demonstrated exceptional engagement and satisfaction, building a strong foundation for future and career transition healthcare leaders.
Key Outcomes & Success Metrics
● Strong Engagement: The cohort completed 34 total meetings, with November 2025 marking peak activity as mentor/mentee pairs established their engagement rhythms.
● Flexible Connections: While 47% of meetings utilized video for accessibility, a healthy 35% took place in-person to foster relationship building.
● Quality Interactions: 100% of tracked meetings were rated above a 7/10, ensuring consistently high-quality experiences for all participants.
Impact Areas
Mentors and mentees are focusing on critical development themes:
● Career Strategy: Creating roadmaps for advancement and preparing for credentials like the FACHE exam.
● Leadership Identity: Defining personal ethos and values-based leadership principles.
● Resilience & Wellbeing: Discussing sustainable leadership, burnout prevention, and managing resources effectively.

For Mentors: Share your expertise, expand your network, and make a tangible impact on an aspiring leader.

Beginning each October, the program pairs mentors and mentees for monthly sessions that focus on essential leadership competencies, such as emotional intelligence, communication, strategic execution, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Mentees, particularly graduate students and recent graduates, gain a unique opportunity to develop targeted career goals, receive personalized guidance from experienced executives, and expand their professional networks across the healthcare sector.
For early careerists, this program offers more than mentorship - it’s a platform for career acceleration and real-world exposure to healthcare leadership challenges as well as connections with National Capital region healthcare executives. Through interactive discussions, goal-setting, and feedback-driven reflection, mentees are encouraged to explore leadership styles, soft skills, and organizational culture, preparing them for leadership roles. By program completion, participants not only achieve tangible developmental outcomes but also gain access to ongoing professional relationships, networking events, and the broader ACHE Leadership Mentoring Network, positioning them for long-term success in a competitive industry.

Eligible Mentees
● Early careerists are those who have graduated from a Master’s program within the last 5 years or graduate students who will complete their program within 1 year.
● Mid–careerists are those who have at least 5 years within the healthcare industry and look to take their careers to the next level. This also includes mentees who are looking to change jobs, and may be in a career transitioning.
