Michael J. Urgel, MHCI, MBA, RN, CPHQ, CPHIMS, PMP

Michael Urgel is the Founder and CEO of Lumago Professional Services, LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in healthcare organizations and offering coaching services for mid-career nurses. With extensive experience in healthcare management, Michael currently serves as the Director of Nursing at Nurturing Angels Home Care and a Project Manager at Transcarent, where he leads large-scale healthcare initiatives, including a national oncology care solution. His career includes key roles at Best Buy Health and GE Healthcare, where he successfully launched health systems projects and provided clinical application training. Michael has been instrumental in the success of the NCHE Mentorship Committee, helping to guide the next generation of healthcare leaders. He is also deeply involved in volunteer efforts at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leads workshops on process improvement and healthcare operations. Michael holds an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and a Master’s in Healthcare Innovation from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
