Committee Responsibilities
The Mentorship Committee member provides support to the committee chair by contributing to the planning, process improvement and execution of the mentorship program for chapter members. Committee members assist with program management by actively increasing awareness of the program, recruiting participants and coordinating program events.
Committee Member Responsibilities
● Promote the mentorship program at chapter events, chapter newsletter, website, social media, and other events
● Recruit mentors and mentees
● Develop & update mentor and mentee application forms
● Review applications and resumes
● Interview mentees
● Match mentors and mentees
● Maintain program toolkit and update documents as needed on chapter’s shared drive, which includes but is not limited to: Welcome Packet, Program Launch slides, marketing material, and end of year summary materialsCreate calendar of events for program including interviews, orientation, networking event and closing ceremony
● Participate in cohort onboarding events
● Plan program events including venue selection, catering selection and event activities
● Facilitate feedback with program participants
● Conduct end of year program survey
Meeting Requirements
● Attend monthly meetings called by the Co-Chairs in person or via conference call (meetings may be weekly at the beginning of each cohort)
● Attend meetings organized by leads of any sub-committees in which the member is a participant
Support
● Committee members are primarily supported by the Co-Chairs, fellow committee members and the other NCHE Committees
Eligibility Criteria
● ACHE member in good standing
● Organizational and time management skills
● Willingness to actively participate in the committee’s activities
